The General Body Meeting (GBM) of the Madras Agricultural Students' Union (MASU) was successfully conducted on 14 July 2026 at the Anna Auditorium, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. N. Senthil, President, MASU, in the presence of Dr. K. Subrahmaniyan, Acting Vice-Chancellor, TNAU and Chief Patron, MASU. MASU office bearers, life members, faculty members, alumni, scientists, and student representatives from the constituent colleges of TNAU participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, Dr. K. Boomiraj, Secretary, MASU, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the Union's activities and achievements during the year. Dr. V. Rajanbabu, Editor-in-Chief, Madras Agricultural Journal (MAJ), presented the Editor's Report on the journal's progress, while Dr. Balaji Kannan, Treasurer, MASU, presented the Audited Statement of Accounts. The reports were discussed and approved by the General Body.
Members also deliberated on future programmes, strengthening alumni engagement, expanding membership, and enhancing the reach of the Madras Agricultural Journal (MAJ), reaffirming MASU's commitment to agricultural education, research, innovation, and professional excellence. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. R. Gangai Selvi, Joint Secretary, MASU.
